UFC on FUEL 8: Lombard Wants to Fight ‘Crybaby” Bisping After Win Over Okami

Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard is looking to make a statement against his UFC on FUEL 8 opponent Yushin Okami, but he’s already looking to shut the mouth of an old nemesis afterwards.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the former Olympic-level Judoka said he would love to have a crack at perennial middleweight Michael Bisping next.

"I want to fight Bisping badly, 100 percent I do. That is the guy I want if I beat Okami. I'd fight him yesterday, today, it doesn't matter. I want to fight him,” Lombard said.

“I don't believe he should be where he is in the division. Look at his record, who did he beat? He wins decisions, but against who? He gets beat when he fights top opponents. He gets decidedly beat, no decisions, he gets beat by KO.”

Lombard’s comments are not far off, as Bisping has been in three title eliminator fights under the UFC banner against Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort, respectively.

He lost each time and also suffered definitive knockouts at the hands of Henderson and Belfort. His only win (a decision) against a top 10 middleweight came against Brian Stann at UFC 152 in September.

“Lightning” is coming off a vintage knockout over submission Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FX 6 in December and is more worried about settling a score with Bisping than climbing the divisional rankings right now.

“I don't worry about the rankings, I focus on myself, I'm not a cry baby like Bisping, I'm a man. It's one fight at a time, get this win and go from there. That is what I have to do. I don't need to b**** about rankings and people and fighters and bullcrap.”

“I don't need to do the other stuff, that's not me. Bisping is a guy who is a f--- crybaby and no big wins."

Bisping is just 1-2 in his past three fights and is currently booked to fight Alan Belcher at UFC 159 to keep his slim hopes of a title bid alive.

Should Bisping and Lombard both win their upcoming fights, a showdown between the two makes a lot of sense.
