UFC Signs Undefeated Prospect Holly Holm

After months of negotiations, former three-division boxing champion Holly Holm will bring her perfect record as a mixed martial artist (7-0) to the Octagon.

UFC President Dana White tweeted the news, which led to a link on Instagram which showed him holding a contract next to a picture of Holm.

Holm made her mixed martial arts debut in March 2011 and hasn’t looked back, with six of her seven fights ending via knockout.

The Greg Jackson’s MMA fighter has fought three of her last four bouts under the Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championships banner.

Most recently, the 32-year-old won the Legacy FC women’s bantamweight title in April when she TKO’ed Juliana Werner with a headkick and subsequent punches.

Back in March, White was so put off by dealing with Holm’s management that he said the company had no interest in the fighter “whatsoever” on an episode of UFC Tonight.

However, clearly the sides managed to work out their differences long enough to agree on a deal.

Neither the UFC and Holm have released the terms of her contract, nor has an opponent been named for Holm’s debut.
