Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler missed the team's last game Friday against the Houston Rockets with a heel contusion. While the MRI on Butler's injury came up negative, he did not participate in practice on Sunday and is questionable to play Monday against the Sacramento Kings.
It's definitely good news that there's no structural damage to Butler's heel, but injuries of this ilk can take some time to recover from, especially considering NBA players are asked to plant off the heel when shooting.
With Butler out Friday against Houston, Michael Carter-Williams was tasked with logging big minutes. He responded by putting up 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the overtime loss.
