Just six minutes into the NBA season, fans witnessed what could be the most gruesome injury all year. Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome left ankle injury during Tuesday's game and immediately had his leg put in an air cast then was taken off on a stretcher.
While details on the specific injury aren't yet known, it seems a certainty Hayward will not return to the court this season. Hayward's ankle bent back 90 degrees and the medical staff immediately rushed over towards him and a cast came out quickly after. It is one of the most gruesome injuries basketball has seen in years and left players and fans from both teams shaken.
