Reunions are always fun, even if they don't always work out, they always offer some form of entertainment and flashbacks to the old days. The NBA will now get another reunion after the Los Angeles Clippers agreed to a deal, sending power forward Josh Smith to the Houston Rockets along with cash for the rights to some international players.
Smith signed with the Clippers this past offseason, rejecting an offer to return to the Rockets. Smith's aspirations of major playing time and a great opportunity to contribute in Los Angeles never came to form, averaging just 14.3 minutes per game this season.
Now returning to Houston, where Smith averaged 25.2 minutes per game last season, Smith should receive much more of that opportunity to contribute and try and help the Rockets try and climb up the ladder in the playoff battle, sitting at 22-22, just six games back of the Clippers.
Smith, who averaged just 5.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game with the Clippers this season, should return closer to the 12 point per game, six rebound per game player he was with the Rockets.
