Daily FanDuel Basketball Picks: January 24th, 2017

Point Guard

Top Pick

John Wall, Washington Wizards ($10,700)

This guy is absolutely unbelievable in 2017. The Wizards are now one of the best home teams in the NBA thanks to Wall's incredulous mastery at the point guard position. He's averaging 52 FPPG over the last two weeks, making him one of the hottest fantasy players at any position. The Wiz host the Boston Celtics tomorrow in what should be a shootout of top guards.

Top Value

Isaiah Thomas, Boston Celtics ($9,300)

Thomas said that he thinks he's the best player in the world yesterday. That's a bit of a stretch, but he's close to being the best scorer in the league. He's the second best scorer on a per game basis this season and he seems to keep getting better and better. He's averaging 35 PPG alone over the last two weeks. Fire him up in a plus match-up against an Eastern Conference foe.

Shooting Guard

Top Pick

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat ($7,000)

Wade is averaging 32 FPPG over the last two weeks and will have a good match-up tonight against the Magic. Both him and Jimmy Butler have been the lone bright spots this season for the Bulls. A decision has to be made now in the Windy City, either push harder for the playoffs, or start to flake. With competitors like Wade and Butler, odds are the Bulls are going to find a way to get better soon.

Top Value

Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns ($6,500)

Booker is averaged 32 FPPG over the last two weeks and is a great value tonight at $196 per fantasy point. Him and Bledsoe are co-existing well together, Brandon Knight seems to be the odd man out in the long run in Phoenix. Booker's fantasy outlook is only going to get better as the season goes along.

Small Forward

Top Pick

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs ($10,100)

Somehow, someway, this former NBA Finals MVP still keeps getting better. He just dropped 40 points on LeBron James and has another tough match-up against Toronto Raptors. Averaging 49 FPPG. Leonard is no longer flying under the radar. He's never flashy, but he's one of the most consistent players in all of fantasy basketball.

Top Value

Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls ($9,600)

Butler is averaging 36 FPPG over the last two weeks which includes a huge dud. Without that skewing his average, he'd be in much better shape to the naked eye. Butler has elevated his game to new heights and has a fairly easy match-up against the Orlando Magic.

Power Forward

Top Pick

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets ($9,800)

Averaging 44 FPPG, the Joker is the fantasy revelation of 2017. He's a little pricey at $222 per fantasy point, but he's definetly the "top" choice with a ceiling that's umatched by his peers at the same position. To be fair, he has the toughest match-up possible right now - the Jazz are a killer defense against power forwards. Yet, the Joker has enough fantasy tricks up his sleeve to come out on top.

Value Pick

Markieff Morris, Washington Wizards ($6,400)

He's been flying under too many radars of late, but he's a key reason why the Wizards have successful in 2017. He's averaging 34 FPPG over the last two weeks, providing excellent scoring and supporting stats. He faces the Celtics who are the tenth-worst defense against power forwards of late.

Center

Top Pick

Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves ($10,500)

Averaging 50 FFPG, KAT continues to get better throughout 2017 and should make an All-NBA team if he continues his ascension. He gets an easy match-up against the Suns who are the tenth-worst defense against centers of late. KAT should take advantage of that match-up with a limitless ceiling. At $208, he's a good value.

Top Value

DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles Clippers ($8,400)

At only $197 per fantasy point and averaging 43 FPPG, D.J. is an excellent value tonight. D.J. should feast on the Philadelphia 76ers who are the second-worst defense against centers over the last two weeks. Without Chris Paul, in the lineup, the Clips are relying more heavily on D.J. to contribute on offense, which he has. He had a season high 29 points three games ago and has several fantasy performances over 50 points within the past two weeks. He's a great choice tonight.
