The first week of the NBA season has come to a close and it was a roller coaster ride. Now, we have a chance to breathe and reference some trends when making our value plays going forward. Many teams are still working out kinks, players are adjusting to new teams, and we will take all of this into account.
Monday night offers some exciting matchups to watch, but ones that may not produce great fantasy lines. The Cavs face a lowly Sixers team who struggles to score, so it’s possible that games becomes a blowout. This means some Cavs starters may see reduced minutes, especially LeBron James. Other scoring monsters like Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony also have less than favorable match ups tonight, as they face off against defensive specialists. I’m more worried about Melo not meeting his price range, than KD though. The most fantasy friendly match up of the night should be the high-octane offenses of the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers squaring off.
