Only three games this Tuesday brings a bit of an abbreviated daily fantasy basketball Dime, but there is plenty of action available over on FanDuel.com. Point Guard:
Star – Stephen Curry, $8.900: Curry for under $9,000 is a dream come true. He also draws a solid matchup tonight versus a Mavericks team that is in the bottom ten in the NBA in defensive efficiency versus the point guard position this season.
Scrub - Shaun Livingston, $4,700: For those of you that are regulars to this article you know my love for Livingston lately, for those of you in the new crowd allow me to explain. Livingston has posted 20+ fantasy points in his last twelve games and in all but two games during the month of March, all for under $5,000.
Shooting Guard:
Star – Monta Ellis, $7,400: Although Ellis has not posted the best splits versus his former team the Warriors this season I am expecting a solid game from him tonight in what is a near must win game. The Mavericks are currently tied with the Grizzlies and Suns at 44 wins and 30 losses, and sitting in seventh place in the Western Conference with only a few games left to close out the season. Ellis has also posted 30+ fantasy points in five of his last six games.
Scrub - Kent Bazemore, $5,000: The Mike D’Antoni rotation continues to be a bit of a lottery, but Bazemore has started the last two games in place of the injury plagued Xavier Henry and has played very well in those games. If Henry is out once again tonight I feel fairly safe with Bazemore’s minutes, and production, but if Henry plays you must temper expectations a bit.
Small Forward:
Star – Chandler Parsons, $6,600: With Dwight Howard out for the Rockets everyone else must pick up some of the offensive production, and the rebounds. Parsons also sees some heavy minutes regardless of the score, which makes him a nice and “safe” play on such a small slate of games.
Scrub - Draymond Green, $4,600: The Warriors have David Lee as “not expected to play,” tonight and Andrew Bogut confirmed as out opening up a big chunk of minutes for Green once again. He has played 32 minutes in each of the last two games for the Warriors and will be looking at another 30+ minute outing tonight at a nice and low price.
Power Forward:
Star – Dirk Nowitzki, $7,700: Nowitzki has turned his game back on with the Mavericks needing all the wins they can get their hands on. Although the Warriors are a big banged up tonight they are not going to go down without a fight, leading to plenty of Nowitzki in what will be a fairly high scoring affair.
Scrub - Marreese Speights, $3,500: There are so few power forward options available today you do not even need to scroll down to find the cheapest one on the table tonight in Speights. He underperformed for expectations in his last game, but still valued on his minimum price. With Lee and Bogut out once again tonight he will see around 20 minutes of play, leading to solid value once again.
Center:
Scrub – Omer Asik, $4,600: Howard will not be playing opening up the start for Asik tonight, and at least a near double double. Asik has valued with ease in all of recent starts for a banged up Howard and tonight will be no different versus an equally banged up Nets front court.
Scrub - Jermaine O’Neal, $4,300: Save some money tonight and go cheap at center. With Bogut out again tonight O’neal gets another big bump in minutes and, more importantly, production.
