The last day of the NBA regular season is upon us and there is only one game tonight on a fifteen game slate that holds any sort of relevance, the Mavericks versus the Grizzlies. Due to the vast majority of games tonight meaning nothing to the teams involved there will be a flurry of players resting and random “injury bugs” popping up out of no where so be sure to follow along with the news all day on Twitter. For this reason today’s Daily Fantasy Basketball Dime will be focusing on the scrubs and sleepers of the night, to make sure you have room for the super stars that do decide to suit up tonight. Point Guard
Scrub – Aaron Brooks, $5,700: Brooks production has settled back down to normal levels after a couple of monster games a few games back. Do not let that steer you away tonight, as the upside is there if his shot begins falling and he is walking into a fantastic matchup versus the fast paced Warriors offense.
Scrub – Darren Collison, $5,700: The Clippers are on a back-to-back tonight and it would not be surprising to see Chris Paul get some rest. When Collison has seen 30+ minutes he has valued with ease, which should be the case again tonight if Paul takes the night off.
Scrub – Patty Mills $4,000: Tony Parker did not finish the Spurs last game and should be considered questionable at best for tonight. Mills rested on Monday giving him fresh legs for tonight’s contest versus the pathetic excuse for an NBA team in the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shooting Guard
Scrub – Rodney Stuckey $4,900: There has not been an official update on Josh Smith’s status for tonight’s game, but there is also no reason for him to return tonight. This will open up a big share of minutes for Stuckey once again which has averaged out to 29.1 fantasy points a game over the last five games played.
Scrub – Iman Shumpert, $3,900: The Knicks franchise is clearly disheartened after narrowly missing the playoff’s, and Carmelo Anthony missing the playoffs for the first time in his career. Anthony being shut down for the final two games for the season also opens up a massive amount of offensive production for other Knicks players. Shumpert has 22+ fantasy points in four of his last six games and will have similar success tonight.
Scrub - Tim Hardaway Jr., $3,700: Quite the similar play to Shumpert, but a little more unreliable. Great for tournament play due to his upside.
Small Forward
Scrub – Draymond Green, $5,000: With the news coming out of Oakland that Andrew Bogut will miss the postseason with a broken rib Green’s fantasy value skyrockets. He is coming off a 50 fantasy point performance.
Scrub – Evan Turner, $3,600: The Pacers studs will see some rest today opening up a start for Turner versus the porous defense of the Magic. The last game Turner started in he played 40+ minutes and scored 40+ fantasy points versus the Bucks on April Ninth.
Scrub - Luke Babbitt, $3,500: The plethora of injuries to the Pelicans has opening up some daily fantasy basketball value for a few players you have likely never heard of, insert Babbitt. Over the last four games he has averaged 23.33 fantasy points a game, which is more then enough to pay off his minimum priced salary.
Power Forward
Scrub – Mason Plumlee, $5,100: Plumlee has shown up out of nowhere to be a driving forced for the Nets second unit recently. He has now scored 30+ fantasy points three games straight and is unlikely to need rest tonight.
Scrub – Marreese Speights, $3,800: The Warriors are likely to take it easy with both David Lee and Jermaine O’Neal tonight with the news coming out about Bogut, this will open up some minutes for Speights tonight. If Lee or O’Neal miss the game Speights can be used in any lineup, if they play use him in tournaments only.
Scrub - Jason Thompson, $3,600: The Kings will be without DeMarcus Cousins tonight as he serves out a one game suspension to finish up his season, typical Boogie. Solid matchup versus an undersized and emotionally drained Suns team for Thompson tonight will be exploited with ease.
Center
Scrub – Timofey Mozgov, $5,400: If Mozgov can perform at the same high level next season that he has been performing at recently the Nuggets clearly found a diamond in the rough. You have to love the matchup versus a Warriors team that is missing Bogut, a solid defender.
Scrub – Kelly Olynyk, $5,000: The Celtics frontcourt is quite depleted by injury, which has opened up Olynyk’s minutes, and his production. Over the last two games he has scored 39.9 and 41.3 fantasy points.
Scrub – Cole Aldrich $3,600: There are certainly some ugly picks today, as highlighted by Aldrich closing up the last daily fantasy basketball dime of the regular season. Two solid games in a row for his price, no reason he will not repeat it tonight on a similar minutes count.
Good luck tonight. Be sure to follow both @eDraftSports and me @Cui2iousGeoi2ge
