Huge slate of thirteen games tonight followed by a small slate tomorrow and then another giant slate Friday night with fourteen games! Point Guard:
Star – Kemba Walker, $7,900: Tough to shy away from Walker tonight playing the 76ers, the third worst team in defensive efficiency versus opposing point guards this season. Walker has also scored 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games.
Stud – Mike Conley, $7,200: The Grizzlies are still not gaurenteed a playoff spot in the Western Conference making each and every game a near must win. Ricky Rubio’s bad defense puts the Timberwolves in the bottom ten in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency versus opposing point guards over the last ten games.
Scrub - Greivis Vasquez, $4,100: Wait for official word on Kyle Lowry’s status for tonight, but if Lowry misses the game get Vasquez into your lineup in a hurry.
Note: Ray McCallum makes a strong sleeper play tonight if Isaiah Thomas misses another game.
Shooting Guard:
Star – DeMar DeRozen, $7,900: I am a big fan of DeRozen tonight in a great matchup versus Houston’s shooting guard defense regardless of Lowry’s status for tonight’s game. If Lowry does miss tonight’s game I like DeRozen even more as he will be responsible for more production on offense.
Stud – Lance Stephenson, $6,400: Stephenson’s price has steadily been dropping due to some less than impressive play, but his minutes still sit steadily at 30+ a game. A matchup versus the Pistons is exactly what Stephenson needs to turn his game back on. The Pistons are the third worst team in the NBA in defensive efficiency versus opposing shooting guards this season and the worst team in the NBA over the last ten games.
Scrub - Nick Young, $5,300: Young had been having problems getting his shot going lately leading to some subpar performances, all of which changed last night in a 40 point explosion. Another solid matchup tonight versus the Trail Blazers and although 40 points is tough to repeat, now that he is feeling his shot again he has a great opportunity for another solid outing tonight.
Small Forward:
Star – Chandler Parsons, $6,900: Under $7,000 for Parsons is a great deal tonight as he has scored 30+ fantasy points in five of his last six games. Toronto has also been playing some atrocious defense versus opposing small forwards over the last ten games.
Stud – Luol Deng, $6,100: The Cavaliers are still barely in the playoff hunt leaving Deng something to play for night after night. A matchup versus the Magic is a good one and Deng has averaged 22 points and six assists in two meetings versus them this season.
Scrub - Matt Barnes, $5,600: With Blake Griffin doubtful for tonight’s game it is safe to expect a nice increase in production for Barnes once again who has now put up 30+ fantasy points two games in a row.
Note: Draymond Green is a valid option if David Lee misses tonight’s game.
Power Forward:
Star – Kenneth Faried, $7,600: Faried has been near matchup proof for quite awhile now and his splits are fantastic at home, where tonight’s game happens to be.
Stud – Zach Randolph, $7,100: In Randolph’s last eight games he has put up 33+ fantasy points in seven of them. Over three previous meetings versus the Timberwolves this season Randolph has averaged an impressive 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists a game.
Scrub - Marreese Speights and Drew Gooden, $3,500: Both players availability as sleepers depend on some injury news tonight. With Andrew Bogut already declared out if David Lee misses tonight’s game or Jermaine O’Neal ends up scratched due to his old age then Speights makes for some solid value once again. In a similar situation Gooden will need Nene Hilario to miss tonight’s game to hold his value. Be sure to check the news throughout the day.
Center:
Star – DeMarcus Cousins, $10,100: The Lakers are competing with the Bucks and 76ers to have the worst defended frontcourt this season. This will mean great things for Cousins and for his final stat line tonight.
Stud – DeAndre Jordan, $7,900: The Suns do not have a player defensively talented enough to slow down the athletic Jordan tonight and with Griffin likely out he sees a big increase in production. He already averages 13.9 rebounds a game this season and with Griffin out last game he pulled down 24.
Scrub - Omer Asik, $4,600: If Dwight Howard misses tonight’s game it is near impossible to pass up the immense value Asik brings to the table. If Howard plays pay up for one of the big boys I listed above.
Good luck tonight. Be sure to follow both @eDraftSports and me @Cui2iousGeoi2ge
