daily Fantasy Basketball Dime 4.5.14

Every team playing tonight is on a back to back which is going to make for an intersting night of NBA basketball.  With six games on the schedule value is a bit tougher to find, but as always we will be here to help you out.  If you have not been over to FanDuel.com yet click the link to the right and stop missing out on all the great daily fantasy basketball action.  You will also get a 100% deposit bonus on your intital deposit.

Point Guard:

Star – Deron Williams, $6.800: The 76ers have done a wonderful job this year of making other players look good.  Williams’ production has been rocky but on a price tag of under $7,000 it is tough to ignore his upside in such a fantastic matchup.

Stud – Shaun Livingston, $4,800: Yep, Livingston again.  His price remains moderate and he continues to put up some consistent fantasy points night after night.  In two of his last three games he has posted over 30 fantasy points and a game versus the 76ers sets up a wonderful opportunity for another big night.

Scrub - Jerryd Bayless, $4,300:  The Celtics will be without Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley tonight opening up big minutes for Bayless again.  Bayless has posted 20+ fantasy points in four of his last five games and the Pistons have been getting abused by opposing guards all season.

Shooting Guard:

Star – DeMar DeRozen $8,000:  With or without Kyle Lowry in the Raptors lineup tonight DeRozen is going to have a good game, he just gets a bit more upside if Lowry sits out another game.  DeRozen is playing near 40 minutes a game right and posting the numbers to go along with it.

Stud – Jimmy Butler, $6,500: Butler is Bulls’ Coach Thibs new Luol Deng and playing huge minutes night in and night out.  Bradley Beal is nothing to be afraid of on the defensive end of the floor and as a result the Wizards are in the bottom ten in the NBA versus opposing shooting guards this season.

Scrub - Terrence Ross, $4,200: The Bucks have some serious defensive woes versus opposing shooting guards with Ramon Sessions manning most of the minutes for them and Ross has been playing some solid basketball recently.  With Lowry out of the lineup Ross has seen 30+ minutes in each of the last two games and if Lowry sits again tonight Ross gets a nice bump to his upside once again.

Small Forward:

Stud – Jeff Adrien, $5,800: The Bucks coach Larry Drew is easily the most frustrating coach in the NBA for daily fantasy basketball with his consistently evolving rotations, with Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni closely behind.  One thing has remained quite consistent for the Bucks recently and that is Adrien’s minutes on the floor, as he has played 27 or more in five of his last six games.  He posted a huge 39.8 fantasy point night versus the tough defense of the Bulls last night and will look to ride that momentum into tonight’s tilt versus the Raptors.

Stud – Jeff Green, $5,700: The Celtics are without Rondo tonight, which will force Green to take a much larger role in the offense in a tasty matchup versus the Pistons. The Pistons rank near the bottom of the league versus opposing small forwards this season and Green posted a big 27-point game versus the Pistons earlier this year.

Scrub - Mirza Teletovic, $3,600: He may not be the most exciting pick but is seeing 20+ minutes a night for the Nets and is only $100 over minimum price tonight.  On those minutes he has put up 20+ fantasy points in four of his last six games, which is more then enough for value at his price.

Power Forward:

Star – Greg Monroe, $8,200: You know it is a bit of an interesting slate of games when Monroe makes the Star power forward for the night.  Monroe is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds a game versus the Celtics through three games this season and he only played 25 minutes last night.

Scrub – Cody Zeller, $3,900: The Bobcats will be without Josh McRoberts again tonight which should open up another start for Zeller.  He was a bit disappointing last night but the matchup tonight versus the Cavaliers is too good to pass up at his bottom barrel price putting him in line for a nice bounce back game.

Scrub - Anthony Tolliver, $3,800:  Tolliver has reentered the Bobcats rotation the last two games with McRoberts on the shelf and should get at least 20 minutes once again tonight versus the Cavaliers.  The matchup is certainly exploitable giving Tolliver a bunch of upside for his price.

Center:

Star – Andre Drummond, $7,400: Drummond exploded for 49.6 fantasy points last night and tonight is playing a Celtics team he has thoroughly abused this season. He is averaging near 16 points and 17 rebounds a game versus the Celtics this season and still sits at the ridiculously discounted price of $7,400.

Stud – Henry Sims, $5,700: The 76ers are doing their best to develop Sims as much as they can on what is left of this NBA season.  The Nets are in the bottom ten in the NBA in defensive efficiency versus opposing centers over the last ten games and Sims price has still not caught up to his recent levels of production.

Scrub - Kyle O’Quinn, $4,600:  Last night Nikola Vucevic was a surprise scratch for the Magic six minutes after lineups locked which bumped O’Quinn’s minutes up quite a bit.  Vucevic’s status for tonight’s game is still unknown but O’Quinn was putting up solid numbers even with Vucevic in the lineup, he just gets a nice bump in upside if Vucevic sits one again.
