Point Guard:
Star – Tony Parker, $5,700: Parker has one beautifully discounted price today due to his ups and downs to end the regular season. Spurs head Coach Gregg Popovich will be unleashing the reigns on the minutes of both Parker and Duncan in the playoffs, take advantage of the price while you still can.
Scrub – Patrick Beverley, $5,100: The Rockets are calling Beverley healthy heading into the playoffs, which means good things for them, and for you. Damian Lillard is not near the player on offense that he is on defense causing the Trail Blazers to finish in the bottom ten in the NBA in defensive efficiency versus opposing point guards during the regular season.
Shooting Guard:
Star – Jimmy Butler $6,200: The man of many minutes, or Coach Thib’s new Luol Deng, is easily going to see 40+ minutes a game during the playoffs which will cause him to value on volume alone. His regular season splits versus the Wizards are not the greatest, but do not be fooled as Bradley Beal is an awful defender.
Scrub - Ray Allen, $3,700: A fantastic place to save some money today as Allen comes in at only $200 over minimum price.
Small Forward:
Star – LeBron James, $10,500: James put up the “now infamous” 61 point game versus the Bobcats this season and the Bobcats clearly had no answer for James at any point this year. He is obviously not going to come cheap today, but his price is also likely to hit $11k sooner then later. It would be good to play him while you can still save a few dollars.
Scrub - Mike Dunleavy, $5,400: Two options today on Fanduel.com at small forward with James and a scrub, or mid range combo of Chandler Parsons and Nicolas Batum. Dunleavy is the one of the more consistent scrubs available as he is going to play big minutes for the Bulls during the playoffs. If he gets a hot shooting hand he can rack up some points in a hurry.
Power Forward:
Star – Tim Duncan, $7,300: Duncan is going to see an easy 30+ minutes a game during the playoffs, and that should make you giddy. He averaged fifteen points and eleven rebounds a game this year while playing an average of only 29 minutes a game.
Scrub - Taj Gibson, $5,500: Gibson recorded a career high in minutes a game this season, which also led him to a career high in points and rebounds. He is going to be an important part of the Bulls game plan during the playoffs and will continue his success right into the postseason.
Center:
Star – Dwight Howard, $8,000: Superman for only $8,000? There are some early Christmas presents available on FanDuel.com in player salaries today. Howard is reportedly feeling good heading into today’s high scoring game versus the Trail Blazers, a team he dominated for an average of 25 points and 14 rebounds a game during the regular season. Get him into your lineup before the price catches up.
Scrub – Chris Bosh $5,800: The smart choice here is paying for Howard, but if you refuse Bosh will provide a bit of value at center tonight. He averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds a game during the regular season versus the Bobcats and will find some success on the perimeter again today.
Good luck tonight. Be sure to follow both @eDraftSports and me @Cui2iousGeoi2ge
