Daily Fantasy Basketball Dime - April 25, 2014

Two teams in the Rockets and Bulls are desperate for a win tonight being down 0-2 in their playoff series and the Nets versus Raptors series is tied at one.  If you have not signed up on FanDuel.com and joined in on the daily fantasy basketball action you are clearly missing out.  FanDuel.com will run basketball contests up until the NBA finals and baseball is also in full swing.  Be sure to use the link to the right to sign up, as it will give you a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit at FanDuel.com.

Point Guard

Star – Damian Lillard, $7,500: Despite Beverley carrying the reputation of being a “lockdown defender” Lillard has had 40+ fantasy point games in both games one and two.  He is easily the top point guard option tonight and yet comes in third in price giving him some extra value tonight.

Scrub – Patrick Beverley, $5,100: Beverley is the “safer” low priced play at point guard today, while Greivis Vasquez carries a bit more upside for tournament play. Beverley will continue to log around 40 minutes a game in an attempt to slow down Lillard, which will lead to a decent fantasy point total by the end of the game.

Shooting Guard

Star – DeMar DeRozen $7,300: In game one DeRozen struggled to score and in game two he got his shot going early; the difference in quite apparent in his total fantasy points scored.  Tonight he will look to get his offense going early and will be in for another solid outing.

Stud - Jimmy Butler, $6,200: Butler disappeared game two from the stat sheet, but he still logged a massive amount of minutes.  Look for him to bounce back tonight with a good game.

Small Forward

Star – Chandler Parsons, $7,600:  Small forward is a bit of a wasteland tonight, but Parsons has played well through two losses versus the Trail Blazers.  His ability to contribute in every stat category quickly stacks up the fantasy points and the Rockets will be all hands on deck tonight in a bit of a desperate situation.

Stud - Trevor Ariza, $5,700:  Ariza also contributes in multiple stat categories, which helps him add up fantasy points in a hurry.  He has finished the first two games of the series with at least 27 fantasy points and nearly had a triple double last game.

Power Forward

Stud – Nene Hilario, $6,600: The Wizards have a 2-0 lead on the Bulls this series and a large part of that has to do with the success of Nene.  Game one he scored 42.1 fantasy points and game two he finished with 32.9.  There is little doubt his old, beat up body is sore but once the game starts he will quickly forget all about that on his way to another big night.

Scrub - Taj Gibson, $5,800:  After an average game one Gibson came alive game two and finished with 38 fantasy points.  The Bulls need a win tonight if they are going to stand a chance in this series and Gibson will see 30+ minutes in an attempt to help them get the win.

Center

Star – Dwight Howard, $8,400:  Through two losses against the Trail Blazers Howard has scored 50+ fantasy points in each game.  After the Rockets last loss Howard claimed that if he has the ball more then the Rockets would win.  Although this does not sound like good logic for the Rockets it will be fantastic for daily fantasy basketball players that put Howard on their team tonight.

Scrub – Jonas Valanciunas $6,600:  The smart choice here is putting Howard into your lineup and moving on, but for the stubborn readers out there here is some value.  Valanciunas has played well through two games versus a soft Nets frontcourt putting up two big double doubles and tonight will be more of the same.

Good luck tonight.  Be sure to follow both @eDraftSports and me @Cui2iousGeoi2ge
