Daily Fantasy Basketball Dime- May 12, 2014

Hopefully today is a good Monday, as far as Monday’s go at least.  The week may just be getting started, but the FanDuel.com daily fantasy basketball actions continues on giving you something to look forward to tonight!  If you have not signed up at FanDuel.com yet stop missing out and click the eDraft.com link to sign up.  This will also give you a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit.

Point Guard:

Stud – Tony Parker, $6,800:  Both Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook have been balling out of their minds and make good plays today, but both are extremely expensive.  Parker comes in under $7k and is averaging 40.8 fantasy points a game this series.

Scrub – George Hill, $5,500: “Hill is averaging 25.7 fantasy points this series versus the Wizards through three games.  This production makes him an excellent target for 50/50 and H2H games due to his consistency.  He also provides a bit of salary cap relief to fit some more studs into your lineup. “ – From yesterday’s Dime.

Shooting Guard:

Stud – Bradley Beal $7,500:  It is do or die time for the Wizards as they have their backs against the wall down 3-1 this series versus the Pacers.  Beal had a solid 38.5 fantasy points last game and will be needed to do at least that much once again if the Wizards are going to force a game six.

Scrub - Wesley Matthews, $5,300:  “Matthews followed up a game one dud with 26.4 fantasy points scored game two and 31.3 fantasy points scored game three.  When you can get Joe Johnson production for $1000 cheaper Matthews makes for a great play tonight.” – from yesterday’s Dime.

Small Forward:

Star – Paul George, $9,200:  It looks as though the Pacers have their mojo back, and it all starts with their superstar Paul George.  He came up big in Sunday night’s win finishing with 55.4 fantasy points and had 42.6 fantasy points the game before that.  George is quite a bit cheaper then Kevin Durant and LeBron James all the while carrying just as much upside.

Scrub - Mirza Teletovic, $3,600:  “Over the last two games Teletovic has been able to get into a bit of a scoring rhythm finishing game two with 20.4 fantasy points and game three with 18.2.  He is only $100 over FanDuel.com minimum price, which will save you a whole bunch of money for other players tonight.” – From yesterday’s Dime.

Power Forward:

Stud – Tim Duncan $7,600: “It would be nice to see the Trail Blazers be a competitive team this series so players like Duncan would be forced to play up to their potential.  There is not a single power forward today that is not overpriced based on recent production, but a price tag of under $8k for Duncan is one of the better ones available.” - From a previous Dime and it still rings true.  The best part is Duncan had his best game of the series game three and his price dropped $100 from yesterday.

Scrub – Kevin Garnett $4,200: “Garnett was unable to score a point during game one versus the Heat, but has since posted two fairly solid games for his price tag.  His fantasy output is certainly capped by minutes limit, but he will provide nice source of salary cap relief.” – From yesterday’s Dime.  Little has changed at power forward on FanDuel.com, and a majority of your options are extremely overpriced.

Center:

Stud – Chris Bosh, $6,200: “As surprising as it may seem Bosh has actually stepped up his game during round two.  He has averaged 29.6 fantasy points a game through three games versus the Nets and will continue to play well versus an old and decrepit frontcourt.” – From yesterday’s Dime.

Stud – Roy Hibbert $4,200:  It is becoming a bit easier to begin to trust Hibbert again with him having solid performances in four of his last five games.  He finished Sunday night’s game with 31.8 fantasy points and his price still remains dirt-cheap.
