Both Derrick Favors (knee) and Rodney Hood (knee) will be out Thursday when the Utah Jazz take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Favors has missed the past three games after pulling up lame in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans last week. He hasn't necessarily been a fantasy relevant player, averaging just 9.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Though, the 24 minutes of action he's seen per outing has taken time away from other players.
With Favors out, the Jazz have been utilizing more of a small-ball lineup. It's in this that Joe Johnson has seen an uptick in performance. He's averaging 13 points while shooting at a 40 percent mark from distance over the past two games.
Hood's situation is a bit different. As to where Favors will likely be back here soon, Hood's knee is set to be evaluated again this week. It could be a long-term issue.
While most will point to Alec Burks as a solid DFS option, he has not taken advantage of playing time recently. Here's a guy that's put up a total of seven points on 2-of-10 shooting over the past two games after tallying 21 points against OKC during the weekend.
Instead, with Johnson seeing more action at the two, look for Joe Ingles to play a larger role in the wing. He's put up 30 points in just under 54 minutes of action over the past two games.
