Not only is Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green a legitimate option to start the All-Star Game for the Western Conference, he has been one of the best all-around players in the NBA thus far this season.
This has obviously translated to the fantasy basketball world.
Green, who is in the midst of a five-game stretch with four triple-doubles, is averaging 14.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. That's been good enough for him to post an average of 40.0 fantasy points per game in FanDuel contests. To put this into perspective, Washington Wizards guard John Wall is averaging 40.1 points per outing.
As great as Green has been all season, he's performed at an even higher level over the past month plus.
In four January games, the forward is averaging a near triple-double (15.5 points, 14.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game).
Back in December, Green put up 16.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.
Since the start of December, he has tallied less than 40 fantasy points in just four of the Warriors 16 games. During that very same span, the forward has put up 70-plus fantasy points twice and 50-plus points six times, including a 86.8-point outing against the Denver Nuggets earlier this month.
What's the moral of the story here?
If you are looking for a forward with a high floor and an even higher ceiling in DFS contests, there is not a single player in the NBA that should be counted on more than Green. Yes, that includes LeBron James and Kevin Durant — at least until the statistics prove otherwise.
It truly is stunning.
