Thankfully, the minor heart arrhythmia that kept San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge out of action the past two games has not been deemed serious enough to sideline him long term.
Aldridge has been cleared by doctors to resume basketball activities and will suit up Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Not only is this good news for Aldridge personally, it's welcomed news for the Spurs themselves. San Antonio currently finds itself a half game behind Golden State for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Having its five-time All Star back on the court is a big deal.
From a fantasy perspective, look for Aldridge to try and stick it to his former Blazers team Wednesday evening. Portland ranks in the bottom 10 of the NBA against fantasy power forwards, a clear indication that Aldridge should have a good game.
In his second season with San Antonio, Aldridge is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting at a solid 47 percent clip from the field.
