Once he clears waivers on Wednesday, veteran point guard Brandon Jennings is expected to sign a free-agent contract with the Washington Wizards. Jennings was waived by the New York Knicks earlier this week, and just needs to clear waivers in order for this formality to become reality.
Jennings' primary responsibility will be to backup All-Star and MVP candidate John Wall in D.C. Despite putting up a solid 8.6 points and 4.9 assists in less than 25 minutes per game in New York, Jennings is unlikely to be a fantasy-relevant option here.
What it does is make the Wizards' rotation that much stronger. The combination of Wall, Jennings, Bradley Beal, Markieff Morris, Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre out in the wing is more than sexy for the Wizards. Though, it does very little from a fantasy perspective.
