The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to get a reinforcement on the low-post. According to multiple media reports, the team will sign veteran center Andrew Bogut prior to Wednesday's cut off for him to be eligible for postseason basketball.
Bogut — acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers from the Dallas Mavericks at the trade deadline — starting working on a buyout with the Sixers immediately after being picked up. That's now come to a conclusion.
From a fantasy perspective, the addition of Bogut to Cleveland's previously weak bench isn't extremely relevant. Unless you are in need of rebounds (and no scoring) in bulk, Bogut isn't really much of an option here.
Though, his one dimension is pretty darn solid. Bogut was averaging 8.3 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game with Dallas prior to being dealt to Philadelphia. Look for a downtick in minutes with the Cavaliers, which only furthers the point that he won't necessarily be fantasy relevant moving forward.
