The San Antonio Spurs head into the weekend dealing with numerous injuries, including to All Star LaMarcus Aldridge. The veteran big man, who the team lsited as doubtful on Friday, is now out for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a sprained right ankle.
He is also reportedly dealing with a minor shoulder injury that while not serious, combined with the ankle injury could lead casts serious doubt on his availability for tomorrow's game.
San Antonio, who could also be without Pau Gasol, will ask Joffrey Lauvergne to step into major minutes. In 41 games this season, the 26-year-old averages only 10.5 minutes per night with 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game averaged in that time. Lauvergne made one previous start this season, in that game he played 26 minutes and finished the night with 11 points and six rebounds. He would be the ultimate punt play in DFS for Saturday's slate.
Aldridge should return to the lineup soon. San Antonio has Friday and Sunday off, so missing Saturday's game gives him an additional 72-hour rest period until the team's game on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
