The Milwaukee Bucks' worst fears were realized on Thursday when the team announced that star forward Jabari Parker will miss the reminder of the season with a torn ACL. In fact, Parker is expected to be out for an entire calendar year.
This is the second time in three seasons that the former No. 2 overall pick has suffered a torn ACL. It also came in the midst of a breakout performance that saw him average 20-plus points and six-plus rebounds per game.
Initial diagnosis here was that Parker suffered a sprained knee when he was helped off the court. Though, the injury itself surely did look more severe.
This came in the same game that saw Khris Middleton return from a season-long injury. From a fantasy perspective, expect Middleton to pick up the slack with Parker out of action. Though that will come once Middleton himself is taken off a minutes restriction. He played just 15 minutes in his season debut Wednesday night.
