Kevin Durant Leads Warriors to Win in Return to Oklahoma City

Amid boos and a hostile environment on Saturday night, Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant made his long-awaited return to Oklahoma City where he played for eight seasons prior to signing with Golden State this past July .

Going toe-to-toe with former teammates Russell Westbrook, Durant had the last laugh. He put up 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the three-point line. The former MVP also added nine rebounds and three assists in a 130-114 blowout win over the Thunder.

For his part, Westbrook also dominated the stat line. He scored 47 points while adding 11 rebounds and eight assists. Though, the MVP candidate also turned the ball over a whopping 11 times.

It was a dramatic scene as Durant entered the court to a chorus of boos from fans that had cheered him for so many years. Durant also mixed it up with Westbrook with the game out of hand in the fourth quarter and locked up with former teammate Anthony Roberson in the second half.

There's obviously no love lost here.

Though, Durant has absolutely dominated his former team in three games this season. He's averaging 37.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in those three outings en route to helping Golden State put up an average of 124.3 points while winning by a grand total of 64 points.
