Kevin Durant Nearly Accomplished Rare Quadruple Double

On Thursday night in Oakland, Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the very same Golden State Warriors team that defeated them in astonishing fashion less than a week ago.

While Durant and the Thunder were game for this marquee matchup early on, the defending champs tied the Chicago Bulls with the 43rd consecutive home win, moving to a ridiculous 55-5 on the season.

Despite Golden State's 121-106 win, Durant nearly accomplished a feat few before him have. The former MVP shot 11-of-17 from the field and 10-of-11 from the charity stripe en route to putting up 32 points. He also added 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Unfortunately for Durant, he turned the ball over a whopping nine times, more than the Warriors entire team. If Durant had compiled another assist and turnover, he would have put up an unofficial quadruple double. Talk about filling out the box score.

Durant's performance from a DFS aspect was rather interesting. Despite tallying that near triple double, he put up just 54.5 fantasy points in FanDuel contests. That was made possible by the negative nine points he tallied (one per turnover).

The former MVP has now turned the ball over a whopping 15 times over the past two games with Oklahoma City losing both outings. The Thunder are now 2-6 since the All-Star Break. There has to be some correlation there.
