NBA Fantasy - Ocotber 29th FanDuel Start Em' Sit Em'

The 2014-15 NBA regular season officially tipped off last night with only three games on the schedule. Tonight the season is in full swing as there are 12 games on the schedule. Unlike opening night, there are plenty of fantasy options available here so pick wisely and look for depth. eDraft is providing daily fantasy advice based on the ever-growing popular FanDuel Fantasy sight. For those unfamiliar with FanDuel it is the ultimate fantasy site for fantasy players who crave the challenge of competing against others and winning real money in the process.

We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel.com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link to FanDuel and use the promo code EDRAFT to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit.  This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash. For those unfamiliar with FanDuel scoring here is the magic formula to picking a winning team;

Point = 1pt, Rebound = 1.2pts, Assist = 1.5pts, Block = 2pts, Steal = 2pts, Turnover = -1pt

Alright let’s get right into it. To submit a valid roster for competition one must add nine players by using a salary cap of $60,000
.

STUDS

Stephen Curry $9,600 - Point Guard

The Golden State Warriors kick off their season by travelling into Sacramento. I just love it when two West coast teams get together because they generate more possessions and points than their Eastern counterparts. West coast basketball suits Curry just great as he is a terrific transition player. I’m looking at Sacramento’s roster and there isn’t anyone who is capable of playing defense on Curry for 32 minutes. Look for Curry to light it up in Sac-town and get the season started on the right note for the Warriors.

John Wall $8,600 - Point Guard

Wall is a terrific bargain here as he is ranked behind Michael Carter-Williams who isn’t even playing. Washington will have to start their season on the road here as they travel into Miami which should create some favourable matchups for Wall in the backcourt. There is simply no way that Dwyane Wade can stay with Wall and neither can Norris Cole or Mario Chalmers. Even without his running mate in Bradley Beal, I’m expecting great value out of Wall tonight.

Kyle Lowry $8,500 - Point Guard

The season opener for Lowry and the Toronto Raptors occurs at home as they host the Atlanta Hawks. The crowd at the ACC in Toronto will be fired up for this one as the Raptor faithful have been anticipating the return of hoops since the Raps playoff exit last season. Fresh off a new contract and a solid offseason, Lowry will be looking to assert himself in the offense here and make good things happen.

SLEEPERS

Larry Sanders $6,900 - Center

The enigma that is Larry Sanders sets to unfurl itself on the NBA once again, this time hopefully for a more complete season. I love Sanders under new head coach Jason Kidd. He is aggressive offensively, rebounds like a fiend and is back to protecting the rim like he did in 2012. Solid value here as Sanders is the 12th ranked center for the night. Sanders isn’t going to lead your team statistically but he will provide solid results and allow you to spend your salary cap dollars elsewhere.

Brandon Knight $6,300 - Point Guard

Sticking in Milwaukee, one has to go a long ways down the list to find the starting point guard in Milwaukee. Now it remains to be seen if Jabari Parker steals some shot attempts and Giannis Antetokounmpo might get some minutes at the point, but until we see that point guard experience in the works, one has to go with the productive Knight. Knight remains the experienced one in Milwaukee and coach Kidd knows that experience at the point is a necessity.

Nerlens Noel $6,100 - Power Forward

I for one cannot wait to see what this kid brings to the table during the regular season. His last preseason game against Detroit produced a wicked stat line consisting of 8 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 blocks, 5 steals and only 1 turnover. In terms of FanDuel value that would be a 38.1 point night which based on season averages would have been good enough to make him the third most valuable power forward behind only Carmelo Anthony and LaMarcus Aldridge. Remember steals and blocks count for 2 points each here.

Markieff Morris $6,100 - Power Forward

This could be the breakout season for Morris in Phoenix. As guard heavy as that roster is, they all know that without the Morris brothers and the ball going into the post none of those ball dominating guards will get much room to maneuver on the perimeter. The versatile nature of Morris’ game allows him to exploit smaller matchups in the paint while taking bigger and slower defenders to the perimeter to exploit those matchups. I’d like to see a few more rebounds out of Morris as well as a higher field goal percentage but I think the potential is there, particularly against an undermanned Los Angeles Laker squad that played the night before against the physical Houston Rockets.
