October 30th in the NBA brings us action on Thurday night in the form of fives games on the schedule. Tonight is a bit quieter given that the majority of the association played on the Wednesday. With so few teams playing one must count on the fantasy-studs to come through with big games and then pick wisely looking for depth to fill out your roster.
eDraft is providing daily fantasy advice based on the ever-growing popular FanDuel Fantasy sight. For those unfamiliar with FanDuel it is the ultimate fantasy site for fantasy players who crave the challenge of competing against others and winning real money in the process.
We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel.com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link to FanDuel and use the promo code EDRAFT to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash. For those unfamiliar with FanDuel scoring here is the magic formula to picking a winning team;
Point = 1pt, Rebound = 1.2pts, Assist = 1.5pts, Block = 2pts, Steal = 2pts, Turnover = -1pt
Something else to keep in mind here is that most leagues scoring gives +3 points for a made three pointer, +2 points for a made two pointer
Alright let’s get right into it. To submit a valid roster for competition one must add nine players by using a salary cap of $60,000.
SLEEPERS:
D.J. Augustin $3,900 - Point Guard
Although we are only one game into the season it is clear that Augustin and Brandon Jennings are battling for the starting spot in the Detroit Pistons offense. Augustin got a solid 28 minutes last night and his stat line was more impressive than that of Jennings. Another night of 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for the basement bargain price of $3,900 is a steal.
Alec Burks $5,100 - Point Guard
Yet another great value to be had here at the point position. Burks is emerging as the backcourt leader in Utah as he and Trey Burke pair for a small yet effective duo. Last night Burks played 36 minutes and posted 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Utah moves into Dallas where Burks should matchup well against the depleted Mavericks backcourt.
Drew Gooden $4,300 - Power Forward
Gooden is the starting power forward for the Washington Wizards as Paul Pierce is playing the small forward. Looking to capitalize on the suspension of Nene, Gooden put up a decent stat line of 18 points, 5 rebounds and an assist. Good value here for Gooden as a starter in the Wizards lineup.
Marcin Gortat - $7,400 - Center
Another good value Wizard here as Gortat is picking up where he left off from last season. 18 points, 7 rebounds and a blocked shot is a solid night. Consider that he is travelling into Orlando where the Magic frontcourt were just abused by the duo of Anthony Davis and Omer Asik on the glass. I expect bigger rebounding numbers from Gortat in this contest.
Here is my FanDuel starting lineup for October 30th games;
John Wall $8,600 - Point Guard
D.J. Augustin $3,900 - Point Guard
Alec Burks $5,100 - Shooting Guard
Monta Ellis $8,200 - Shooting Guard
Gordon Hayward $6,700 - Small Forward
Paul Pierce $5,500 - Small Forward
Blake Griffin $9,600 - Power Forward
Drew Gooden $4,300 - Power Forward
Marcin Gortat $7,400 - Center
