With Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur both out of action and Wilson Chandler questionable, the Denver Nuggets will be forced to go with newly acquired center Mason Plumlee Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Not only that, the expectation here is that Plumlee will log big minutes with Denver short on bigs.
Plumlee was acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers earlier in the week and is expected to play a large role down the stretch for Denver. That would only be magnified if Denver did indeed trade Chandler and/or Faried, as has been bandied about recently.
Plumlee is averaging 11.1 points. 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game this season. It should take him a bit to get accustomed to Denver's scheme. But once he does, he'll be viable fantasy option.
