Holding on to the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets are still dealing with some major injuries. Starting forward Danilo Gallinari will sit out his second consecutive game Monday when Denver travels to Houston to take on the Rockets.
Gallinari is dealing with a knee injury that's plagued him for some time now. The hope in Denver is that he will be able to return in time for Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers
The veteran is averaging 17.7 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting at a solid 45 percent clip from the field. Depending on how he reacts from the bone bruise in his knee, he could be back in action this week.
With Gallinari and Wilson Chandler out of action here, rookie Jamal Murray should continue to see an uptick in usage. He's put up double-digit points in each of the past six games and is averaging 14.7 points during that span.
