After receiving his 18th technical foul of the season in Sunday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
Already beyond the technical foul threshold to warrant a suspension, Cousins will be suspended for every two technicals he receives from here on out.
In the three games since being acquired from Sacramento, Cousins is averaging 23.3 points, 13.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Unfortunately, New Orleans has lost all three of those games.
With Cousins out of action on Wednesday, we can fully expect Anthony Davis to puck up the slack from a fantasy standpoint. Davis is averaging 35.3 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games playing alongside Cousins. Don't expect his numbers to take a hit with his new teammate suspended for one game.
