Red Six SP Eduardo Rodriguez to Miss Next Start

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez was slated to start Wednesday Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, but he's away from the team on the paternity list as his wife gives birth to a child. 

With Rodriguez out, it's likely 26-year-old pitcher Brian Johnson will be called up to pitch in his stead. Johnson put up a 5-7 record with a 3.60 ERA in between three minor league levels last season. He's definitely nothing more than a fill-in here. 

Though, Rodriguez himself has struggled to make much of an impact. He put up a 3-7 record with a 4.61 ERA in 20 appearances (all starts) for Boston last year and had has yielded six earned runs in 10.1 innings in two starts this year.
