Playing for the Austrailian National Team in an exhibition game against Slovenia, Utah Jazz guard Dante Exum reportedly tore his ACL. While the Jazz aim to confirm the report, it's safe to say Exum status for the 2015-16 season is up in the air:
Exum, 20, was the fifth overall pick of Utah back in the 2014 NBA draft. The 6-foot-6 point guard averaged less than five points and 2.4 assists per game while shooting just 35 percent as a rookie.
Despite his rookie struggles, the Jazz were expecting big things from Exum heading into the 2015-16 season. With him likely done for a vast majority of the year, recently signed Brazilian guard Raul Neto will likely see more time on the court. Trey Burke will also maintain his unflinching grasp on the starting job.
