This is turning into a longer-term injury than anyone expected. Dealing with a knee contusion, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will miss his sixth consecutive game and ninth out of his past 10th when Philly takes on the Pistons on Monday.
We know the Sixers want to play it safe with Embiid, who missed his first two seasons in the NBA to injury. But now, there has to be some concern that the injury is more serious than first imagined.
With Embiid out of the lineup the past six games, Nerlens Noel is averaging 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Jahlil Okafor has suited up in only three of those six games due to a knee injury. If you had to reach for a DFS option here, it would be Noel.
