Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has not played in 10 of the team's past 11 games with a knee contusion. He'll now miss Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs as well as Thursday's matchup with the Orlando Magic, according to head coach Brett Brown.
He will, however, work out with the team on Thursday to see if he can go during the weekend. Jahlil Okafor put up 16 pints and four boards in Embiid's stead Monday night and is expected to continue taking on a larger role with the team's starting center out of action.
The hope for Philadelphia is that Embiid will be able to return here soon. Embiid is averaing 20.2 points and 7.8 rebounds. Needless to say his presence is important for both the Sixers and the fantasy basketball community.
