After making an appearance and dominating against the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will miss Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings with that is being described as a left knee contusion.
Embiid, the top rookie of the year candidate, also missed Sunday's game against the Chicago Bulls and is likely to sit out the first two games of Philadelphia's road trip on Wednesday and Thursday.
This comes after Embiid dominated the Rockets to the tune of 32 points in 28 minutes following a near week absence due to this knee injury.
Embiid is averaging 20.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game this season. Look for Jahlil Okafor to see more action in his return to the court.
