Likely bein extra cautious with the star forward, the San Antonio Spurs will rest LaMarcus Aldridge for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Aldridge has been dealing with a sore knee. 

We know just how much Gregg Popovich likes to rest his veteran stars, so there's no real reason to believe this is a long-term injury. He's also likely taking into account the fact that Sixers big man Joel Embiid will not be suiting up in this one. 

With Aldridge sidelined, look David Lee to take on a larger role. The veteran is averaging 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds on the season. He might be a decent under-the-radar play going up against a struggling defensive Sixers front court. Though, this simply means more opportunities for Kawhi Leonard.
