Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and President Obama are quickly becoming good friends. Earlier this year, the reigning NBA MVP hung out with Obama at the White House with the former pushing one of his off-field movements on the Hill. The two will also meet at some point next year when the defending champion Warriors visit the most famous house in the world.
Curry and Obama hung out on Friday, but it was in a more casual environment—a competitive one at that.
Per the Hill:
"Obama hit the links on Friday at Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs, Mass., with NBA star Stephen Curry, his father, Dell Curry, and sharpshooter Ray Allen.
Friday marked Obama's fourth round of golf since arriving on Martha's Vineyard for vacation last Friday evening. His foursome on Wednesday was also basketball themed; he played with Allen and former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning."
To say that Curry is winning the year would be a major understatement. Prior to taking home the MVP and leading his Warriors to their first title in 40 years, Curry earned the most All-Star votes in the NBA, besting LeBron James in that category. Later in the year, the sharp-shooting guard won the Three-Point Shooting Conest during All-Star Weekend. Now add two visits with the president, and Curry surely is riding high.
