While the Golden State Warriors may have wiped the floor with the Houston Rockets in a 104-78 win in Game 1, they may be without their star point guard Stephen Curry on Monday for Game 2. Curry twisted his ankle early in the game on Saturday and went to the locker room, but was able to return to the game.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters he wanted to keep Curry out for the second half, but the soon-to-be-named NBA MVP convinced his coach to put him back out there. Curry returned to the locker room two more times. Kerr is taking the cautious approach with his star player.
If Curry is unable to suit up for Monday's game, Klay Thompson should be in every DFS lineup for the Monday slate, he will be facing a player in James Harden who despises guarding opponents, which will put Thompson in perfect position to carry the team.
Even if Curry is unable to play, today's game showed the Warriors are multiple tiers above the Rockets. Golden State can rest Curry and let his ankle heal, all while rolling through Houston.
