Phoenix Suns forward Dragan Bender underwent successful surgery to remove a bone spur in his ankle and will be out four-to-six weeks. An original report on Wednesday indicated Bender would be lost for the season, but that now doesn't appear to be the case.
The rookie No. 4 overall pick from Croatia was averaging just 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in limited action this season. He's safety on the waiver wire in re-draft leagues, but we'll want to see how he returns to the court when determining the younster's value in dyno formats.
