1. Nicolas Batum, Charlotte Hornets
Positional Rank: 6th
Preseason Postional ADP: 11th
Batum's all-around game just continues to get better. This season alone, he's averaging 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game while playing multiple positions for the Hornets.
And while his scoring is down, his fantasy production is up from season's past. In fact, he ranks sixth this season among shooting guards. He was outside of the top 12 at his position a season ago.
The better news here is that Batum ranks sixth among his position in fantasy consistency. This means that he's been a darn good DFS performer as well as a clutch fantasy player in re-draft leagues.
2. Andrew Wiggins, Minnesota Timberwolves
Positional Rank: 5th
Preseason Positional ADP: 6th
Wiggins may be a one-dimensional player, but that dimension is about as good as it gets and makes a huge impact in the fantasy basketball world. He's averaging 22.5 points while shooting at a 45 percent clip from the field.
The issue here is that Wiggins ranks 21st among shooting guards in assists and 25th in steals. He doesn't provide much from that standpoint in the fake basketball world. He also ranks seventh in fantasy consistency, which means he's performing at a highly basis on a relatively consistent basis.
3. DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors
Positional Rank: 3rd
Preseason Positional Rank: 5th
Elite. Despite a less-than-stellar range from the field, DeRozan has been simply amazing from a scoring standpoint this season. He ranks second at his position in points per game at an average of 27.9.
The MVP candidate is also a top-seven performer when it comes to rebounds, assists and steals. Needless to say, this has him putting up an elite-level fantasy performer. It also doesn't hurt here that he's also third among shooting guards in fantasy consistency.
