Top 4 Fantasy Basketball Players Thus Far in the Playoffs

With the conference semifinals set to wrap up here within the next week or so, the DFS fantasy basketball season will be coming to a conclusion soon.

This doesn't mean we don't have a couple days to make the remainder of the season worthwhile. Here's a look at the top-four fantasy basketball players remaining in the NBA Playoffs.

1. Draymond Green, Forward, Golden State Warriors

Statistics: 18.2 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 7.1 APG, 2.4 BPG and 1.6 SPG

Green has put up 45-plus fantasy points in each of the Warriors' past four playoff games, including a 66-point outing against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Overall, Green is averaging 22.6 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 7.8 APG, 3.4 BPG and 1.6 SPG through four games in the series.

To put Green's DFS performance into perspective, he's failed to put up as much as 30 fantasy points in just one of the Warriors' nine playoff outings. This came on the heels of him finishing the regular season as the third-best fantasy forward in the NBA behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant

2. Russell Westbrook, Guard, Oklahoma City Thunder

Statistics: 24.2 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 10.9 APG and 1.8 SPG

Westbrook would be higher on this list (at No. 1) if it weren't for him being such a volume scorer. Here's a guy that's shooting less than 40 percent from the field in the playoffs. He's also put up 15 points or less in two of his past four games. Though, there's no denying what Westbrook has done to fill the stat sheet. He's tallied 50-plus fantasy points in four of his past seven games, including a 63.5-point performance to close out the Dallas Mavericks in the first round.

The issue moving forward is Westbrook's level of competition. He's going up against the best defensive team in the Association in the San Antonio Spurs. Should Oklahoma City somehow come out on top there, Russ will likely be taking on the second-best defensive team in the form of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

3. LeBron James, Forward, Cleveland Cavaliers

Statistics: 23.5 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 7.3 APG and 2.4 BPG

Consistency, consistency and more consistency. That's defined James throughout the playoffs. He's put up 20-plus points in all eight of the Cavs playoff games, failing to reach 30 in any of those games. The two-time NBA champion has also tallied six-plus rebounds in all eight games while putting up five-plus assists all but once. This has James putting up 33-plus fantasy points in all eight of the Cavs playoff games thus far.

4. Damian Lillard, Guard, Portland Trail Blazers

Much like Westbrook, Lillard has been somewhat of a volume scorer. He's shooting at under 38 percent from the field, including a 9-of-30 clip in an overtime loss to the Warriors on Monday night. With Portland facing possible elimination in Oakland coome Wednesday, we might only be able to check out Lillard in DFS contests for one more game. In reality, he's also not a great bet to do a whole bunch, especially with the way Klay Thompson has defended him.

Though, Lillard has found a way to put up 50-plus fantasy points in each of the past two games. Considering the Raptors-Heat series has been low-scoring and is the only other game taking place on Wednesday, you are best off choosing between Lillard and Thompson as your starting two here. His low field goal percentage aside, Lillard has proven he can put up the points on a consistent basis.
