Stephen Curry is Human Torch

The term “heat check” was used throughout recent NBA history, but not until Curry did it really carry immense weight. Curry’s heat checks are legendary, and sometimes, he surpasses multiple levels of heat checks while tossing up shots that have no right to go in. The Human Torch’s signature phrase is “flame on”, where his body is immediately engulfed in flames. Known by his family as Johnny Storm, Torch was changed forever when he accompanied his sister, and two others on a cosmic trip that went haywire.

The Fantastic Four was formed, and Johnny Storm had forever changed. Curry’s abilities are staggering, much like the Torch’s, Curry can raise his heat level exponentially with immense control. Curry’s efficiency rivals the Torch’s ability to control heat down to an exact temperature. The Torch can even create a space around others as he carries them to safety whereby they are not hurt by his fiery exterior. Curry never seems to be out of control, even for someone who predominantly takes difficult shots.

Powers and abilities aside, the Torch’s personality is akin to Curry. Torch is always light on his feet, showboats, and has an almost nonchalant confidence at all times. They both seem untouchable. Curry may not seem like it so far in the Finals, but he’s the closest thing the NBA will ever have to the Human Torch.

Klay Thompson is Green Arrow
The most skilled archer in all of DC Comics, the Green Arrow has recently surged to popularity of the CW’s hit show “Arrow.” Prior to that, the general public didn’t know much about DC’s best hunter, Oliver Queen. Like Klay, it took some time in the spotlight for fans to join the hype train, but now, his popularity has soared. Klay has been front and center of some of the most epic offensive performances in NBA history, like when he scored an NBA record 37 points in one quarter.

Sometimes forgotten, Klay is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. The Arrow is often times asked to be a scouter for the Justice League and be a first line of defense against enemies. When asked to do more, Green Arrow is one of the most proficient offensive weapons in DC Comics., Green Arrow has explained he can shoot an arrow up to 30 times in a minute and even shot two arrows down two gun barrels at the same time. He makes impossible shots, and so does Klay.

Klay is one of the best sharpshooters of all time and makes the most difficult of shots seem standard. He isn’t flashy, but he’s extremely effective. On top of that, Green Arrow is a fairly opinionated guy and is known for his honesty. Klay was recently asked if the current Warriors could topple the show time Lakers, he said yes. His response had Oliver Queen written all over it.

Draymond Green is Wolverine

Green’s demeanor and ferocity seem almost out of place in today’s NBA. In a time when many players are concerned about image, friendships, sponsors, and more, Green only cares about winning. He is “old school” and brings an intensity that was sorely lacking in today’s NBA. Wolverine is the absolute heart and soul of the X-Men, and although not everyone agrees with the way he leads, nobody can deny the impact he has on his teammates, and his enemies. Wolverine once said “I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice.” Green has rubbed plenty players and fans the wrong way at times with his allegedly dirty plays, brash attitude, and arrogance.

Similar to Wolverine, Green could care less what anyone thinks around him as long as the job gets done. Besides the personality likeness, Green’s style of play is powerful and versatile. Green can play a tank role on defense and match players much larger than him, but also match the quickness of some of the best guards. Green’s endurance and durability are two of his most commendable traits and make him a dependable asset to the Warriors. Wolverine is the most dependable X-Men as his regenerative abilities allow him to keep fighting through the most gruesome battles. Not to mention, his loyalty has been unquestioned throughout time. I don’t see Draymond going anywhere during his career.

Andre Iguodala is Iron Fist

One of the most underappreciated NBA players until last year’s Finals, Iguodala has become an absolute tactician for the Warriors. Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, was imbued with immense power by forcing his fists into a heart of a dragon’s molten heart. His speed, power, senses, reflexes, and more were all enhanced over time as Iron Fist learned to control his “chi”. Iron Fist is arguably the best martial artists in Marvel Comics, and is one of the most philosophical and intelligent figures in comics.

However, the general public has no clue who Iron Fist is because of his generally low-key demeanor, and lack of exposure for many years. Iguodala was left to die in Philadelphia, being blamed for the team’s awful management, his move to Golden State was akin to Rand’s moment of becoming the Iron Fist. The Iron Fist was almost tossed away in the 70’s because of relatively low popularity, but he was eventually paired with Luke Cage and became integral figures of “The Defenders.” When Iggy joined the Warriors, he became a household name once again in the plays. Iguodala became a masterful defender, often times being asked to guard another team’s best player. Iggy has stripped LeBron several times in this series already and continues to be a devastatingly effective ball hawk.
