This is probably more about Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors being extra cautious. But All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson will miss Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets with a sore right heal. It's not yet known when he suffered the injury, but it is expected to be of the short-term variety.
Fellow guard Shaun Livingston (personal) will also be out of action here. He's expecting a baby.
With these two out, the expectation is that Stephen Curry might see a minor uptick in minutes against Denver. Look for Kevin Durant, who put up 34 points against his old Thunder squad on Saturday, to also take on a larger scoring role here.
It comes against a Nuggets squad that will be without Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried.
