2014 NFL Draft: Early Look at Potential Draft Order Based on Week 2 Results

32. Seattle Seahawks

Everyone seemed down on the Seahawks after their narrow win week one against the Panthers. Fast forward one week and one beating of the 49ers and they are back on top. Seattle looks like the most complete team in the league to me and my favorite to win the Super Bowl.

31. Denver Broncos

The Broncos look like the early favorite in the AFC and Peyton Manning is playing out of his mind. Once they get Von Miller back, the defense should improve too. However, come playoff time I still don’t trust Manning.

30. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are 2-0 and the offense is playing well. The big surprise is that their defense is tied for 6th in the league in points per game. If the Saints have a top 10 defense, watch out league.

29. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals haven’t looked great the first two weeks of the season, but they still look like the second best team in the AFC. The defense is great and their two rookies Tyler Eifert and Giovani Bernard have been playmakers. If Andy Dalton can play well, they are a tough team.

28. San Francisco 49ers

People were extremely high on the 49ers last week after they beat the Packers. One week later and a beat down by the Seahawks and people have cooled a little bit.

27. Kansas City Chiefs

I picked the Chiefs to win their division last year and they were the worst in the league. This year I didn’t pick them to make the playoffs and they are 2-0. As long as they run the ball and Alex Smith doesn’t turn it over, they will be in every game.

26. Green Bay Packers

The Packers will always be in the hunt as long as Aaron Rodgers is their quarterback. However, they need the defense to step up this year if they want to beat Seattle of San Francisco in the playoffs.

25. New England Patriots

The Patriots are 2-0, but have not looked good in either game. Tom Brady is visibly frustrated with his lack of weapons and if they don’t step up, the Patriots will go down.

24. Chicago Bears

The Bears have been impressive on offense the first two weeks of the season. Jay Cutler is playing well and if the defense can play near the offenses level, this will be a tough team for anyone to play.

23. Houston Texans

The Texans in all rights should be 0-2 right now, but they aren’t and that is all that matters. I still don’t believe Matt Schaub has what it takes to lead a team to the Super Bowl, but J.J. Watt might.

22. Dallas Cowboys

I’m not a believer in the Cowboys, but I’m even less of a believer in anyone else in that division right now. Tony Romo is going to have to prove he can carry a team where they want to go before I ever really believe in them, that said, Dez Bryant is a beast.

21. Miami Dolphins

Before the season a lot of people were on the Dolphins wagon, I wasn’t one of them. After two weeks I’ve decided to join. Ryan Tannehill looks to have taken a step forward and that defense is very good. Lamar Miller also had a nice bounce back performance this week.

20. Atlanta Falcons

I wasn’t a believer of the Falcons before the season and I’m not after two weeks. Their offensive line is bad, their defense isn’t very good and injuries are starting to rack up.

19. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens offense is noticeably missing the loss of some of its playmakers, the defense is too. If they don’t get better soon, they won’t make the playoffs this season.

18. St. Louis Rams

The Rams are a team that just needs solid quarterback play to win. Their defense is really good and they have playmakers on offense. This year it is on the shoulders of Sam Bradford.

17. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts were a team I picked to take a step back this year and I stand by that. Andrew Luck is phenomenal, but he can’t do it all by himself again this year.

16. Detroit Lions

The Lions offense looks unstoppable when Reggie Bush is in the game and the Lions defense is middle of the pack. If the defense can stay there or get slightly better, they have a shot at a playoff spot.

15. Tennessee Titans

The Titans are another team that should be 2-0 if not for a late collapse against the Texans. Jake Locker is playing well and the Titans defense has been outstanding.

14. San Diego Chargers

The Chargers should be 2-0 and have surprised a lot of people. Philip Rivers is playing like the Rivers of three years ago and the entire Chargers offense is playing well.

13. Philadelphia Eagles

Chip Kelly’s offense is scoring points, but his defense is giving them up just as fast. This team improves or gets worse as the defense improves or gets worse.

12. St. Louis Rams (via Washington Redskins)

The Redskins have had some problems so far. Their defense is playing really bad, and Robert Griffin III is still rusty. He should get better as the season goes on.

11. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals looked good against the Lions this past week. They had some success running and the defense played well. Their offensive line is still a concern though.

10. New York Giants

The Giants have looked bad the first two weeks. They have no run game and Eli Manning has thrown seven interceptions, not a recipe to win games.

9. Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson can’t do it all by himself again, but it looks like he is going to have to. Christian Ponder isn’t very good.

8. Buffalo Bills

The Bills beat the Panthers in a come from behind victory Sunday. E.J. Manuel looked pretty good and they have a great duo of running backs. There was even a rare Mario Williams sighting.

7. Pittsburg Steelers

The Steelers offense has been one of the worst in the league. The defense is playing well, but they are not creating turnovers and with no offense they need to.

6. Carolina Panthers

New year, same old results for the Panthers. They have no second receiver, injuries at the running back position and Ron Rivera can’t win a close game. Some things never change.

5. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders run game really got going last week, though it was against the Jaguars. If Darren McFadden can stay healthy, this team has a chance to upset a few people.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Josh Freeman might be playing himself right out of a job. When you are only completing 45% of your passes, your team isn’t going to win very many games.

3. New York Jets

The Jets almost beat the Patriot, but looked really bad doing it. They still don’t have any playmakers on offense. Their offense might be as bad as the Browns and that isn’t good.

2. Cleveland Browns

The Browns offense is really bad, especially when Trent Richardson can’t get going. It’s obvious Brandon Weeden isn’t the answer.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars were man handled by….wait for it….the Oakland Raiders. Things are bad in Jacksonville, but the bright side is they will have their pick of any quarterback in the draft.
