Next in our draft video breakdown, Luke Inman breaks down 2014 Outland Trophy award winner Brandon Scherff. The Iowa Hawkeyes' offensive tackle played left tackle in college, but as Inman explains, he is best-suited inside as a guard at the next level. The Outland Trophy is given to the nation's best lineman and as Pittsburgh's Aaron Donald proved last year, the winner projects to have a smooth transition into the NFL. Scherff was also a unanimous first-team All-American selection and two-time All-Big Ten selection in consecutive seasons.
How high could an inside guard be drafted? Inman goes on to say the highest he sees Scherff plucked would be number five to the Washington Redskins as they try implementing Jay Gruden's run-option style offense and could use the help of the best run-blocking lineman in this year's class.
