2016 NFL Draft Prospect Video Profile: Laquon Treadwell

Mississippi's Laquon Treadwell is considered by most to be the top wide receiver in the 2016 NFL draft. At 6-foot-2 and 210 punds, he has optimal size for a wide receiver in the NFL.

As Luke Inman suggests in his scouting report of the talented young pass catcher, Treadwell's ability to provide his quarterback with a huge target and go up and get the ball is his biggest attribute heading into the 2016 NFL draft.

There are some concerns over whether the Ole Miss product has the on-field speed to take the top off defenses or if he's going to act as nothing more than a possession receiver at the next level.

Luke also points to how some fiery emotions and a certain level of tenacity could be somewhat of an issue in the NFL.

As pointed out in the video below, Treadwell also boasts below-average route-running ability, continually finding himself thrown off his route due to nothing the defender has done. This leads to some issues on timing-based routes and limits the physical impact he has on the game.

Though, Treadwell's plus-level lower-body strength and ability to intimidate defensive backs will be something NFL teams can use over the middle. In an era where professional receivers are afraid of contact between the hashes, Treadwell will most definitely be an outlier in that aspect of his game.

Winning ball position on quick come backs and slants is going to be huge, as is his big catch radius and strong hands, and there are the reasons why Treadwell is considered the consensus top receiver in the class.

Luke's video report of the Ole Miss product is about 11 minutes long:
