Day 2 of the 2016 NFL Draft brought us a bunch of surprises. From quarterbacks dropping to the middle rounds to other signal callers being drafted much earlier than most anticipated, that was a rather interesting aspect of the day's events.
Here are your full grades from the third round with explanations for the best and worst picks.

Best Picks
71. New York Giants: Darian Thompson, Safety, Boise State
An in-the-box safety at the next level, Thompson could potentially find himself as the Giants starting strong safety out of the gate. Thompson's physicality is his best assets, something that will come in handy should New York use him correctly and not ask him to play coverage too often.
75. Oakland Raiders: Shilique Calhoun, EDGE, Michigan State
Productivity was huge for Calhoun against elite-level talent in the Big 10. While there are some technique issues in terms of meeting blockers at the point of contact, Calhoun's elite-level athleticism makes him a perfect fit as a pass-rush only option early in his career. With Aldon Smith and Khalil Mack in Oakland, he shouldn't have asked for a better situation.
85. Houston Texans: Braxton Miller, Wide Receiver, Ohio State
While we questioned Houston's selection of Will Fuller in the first round, Miller made a ton of sense on Day 2. He might be a bit raw with route running and actually reading coverage assignments on him, but this isn't too surprising considering the quarterback-turned-receiver only played one season outside of signal caller at Ohio State. He has the size and athleticism to be a dynamic threat.
Worst Picks
91. New England Patriots: Jacoby Brissett, Quarterback, North Carolina State
If the Patriots were going to go quarterback here, there were much better options. We get the idea of going developmental for your third-string quarterback, but Cardale Jones would have been a better fit in that situation. Considering this was the Pats second pick of the draft, it was a major miss.
93. Cleveland Browns: Cody Kessler, Quarterback, Southern California
Lacking the functional arm strength to be a starter-caliber quarterback in the NFL, this was a major reach for a Browns team that needs to find that quarterback of the future. It came after putting up a solid early part of the draft, so we can't question what Cleveland is doing too much. With that said, both Cardale Jones and Connor Cook would have been better picks.
