It's the day after the day when fantasy football for the 2012 NFL season died. It's the day before many nuts out there, much like myself, start looking forward to the 2013 fantasy football season. It's also the day before we all turn the page from this year and look at the possibilities that next year will bring for us.

While we are all in a festive mood here at eDraft, it seems to make sense that we should look at the 31 things (you have to see what I did there) that we learned from the year in fantasy football.

1. Matthew Stafford is a marginal fantasy quarterback.

2. Andre Johnson will never be a stud WR1 option.

3. Everyone got it Wrong with Ryan Mathews

4. Age doesn't matter, Tony Gonzalez is just plain ridiculous.

5. Alex Smith wasn't a QB1 option after all.

6. Veteran quarterbacks will soon take a back seat to youngsters.

7. Ray Rice continues to be a victim of the Baltimore Ravens offensive scheme.

8. Adrian Peterson has to be from Melmac. Only possible explanation for 2,000-yard season.

9. New York Jets remain irrelevant.

10. Josh Gordon is someone to watch for 2013.

11. Taking running backs earlier was a risky proposition.

12. You can spell "elite" without Eli. It just takes some work and alteration of the English form.

13. 4,000 passing yards means little.

14. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will NEVER go away.

15. Arian Foster is clearly on a downward fantasy path.

16. Doug Martin is much larger than a Muscle Hamster. He's the real deal.

17. Tight ends, in general, sucked it up in 2012.

18. James Jones can catch footballs.

19. Cam Cameron is (was) the least liked coach in the NFL for fantasy owners.

20. Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck and Colin Kaepernick are all QB1 options.

21. Adrian Peterson can help cats outrun Alf when his season comes to an end.

22. It was a no-win scenario to start players against NFC West defenses.

23. Calvin Johnson: He is who we thought he was.

24. Aaron Rodgers is the BEST fantasy player this side of Adrian Peterson

25. Holdouts do hurt. Just ask Maurice Jones-Drew

26. Chris Johnson is done.

27. C.J. Spiller is a top five fantasy running back.

28. Michael Vick was who we thought he was.

29. Michael Crabtree is a WR1 option.

30. Jay Cutler and Philip Rivers are not in the fantasy conversation anymore.

31. Setting your lineup after a six-pack probably isn't a great idea.
