As I have mentioned countless times before, it has been a down season for fantasy tight ends. How else would you explain Rob Gronkowski ranking No. 2 at this position despite missing the last four games due to injury.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the final installment of a four-part eDraft series focusing on advanced statistics at each major fantasy football position.
It really is surprising just how productive Vernon Davis has been when he actually gets targets. Equally as surprising is the fact that he seems to be a lost cog in San Francisco's passing game, whether it is Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith at quarterback. If Davis was targeted as much as, say Rob Gronkowski, he would be a top three fantasy tight end.
Jimmy Graham and Tony Gonzalez might be in the top three in fantasy points, but both have struggled considering the amount of targets that they accumulate. In reality their overall fantasy numbers should be much higher.
On that note, look at the worst fantasy tight ends in this category.
