While Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver escaped major injury last week when he was carted off the field and only diagnosed with a concussion, it is something that will keep him out of the lineup on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Hurns was diagnosed with a concussion after being checked out by doctors at the hospital last Sunday and while he returned to the team, Hurns has yet to make it through the concussion protocol and while Gus Bradley thought he could play without practicing if he made it through the protocol, he still has not been cleared on Friday and has been ruled out as a result.
Hurns, who had a streak of seven games with a touchdown and is on pace to crack 1,000 receiving yards, will leave a hole in the Jaguars' passing attack. Fortunately for the Jaguars, Allen Robinson has emerged as one of the best, young receivers in football and tight end Julius Thomas is starting to step up.
From a fantasy perspective, Thomas and Robinson will see a slight bump in importance and targets this wee, serving as top-10 options in Week 13. Blake Bortles struggled just a few weeks ago versus the Titans and is a fringe top-15 quarterback this week.
