The Atlanta Falcons continued to make additions to their defense and give head coach Dan Quinn an improved squad to work with, adding linebacker Courtney Upshaw. Upshaw came in to Atlanta on Thursday for a visit and things clearly went well as he now has a deal with the team.
The 26-year-old linebacker cane come in and start immediately for the Falcons,s erving as a run-stopper. He should slide in nicely at strong side linebacker, replacing Philip Wheeler at the top of the depth chart.
Upshaw has played in all 64 games of his four-year career with the Baltimore Ravens and is coming off a 2015 season where he posted 51 tackles and four stuffs.
