Entering the fourth Sunday of the 2013 season, we have an idea of which players have been consistently good and which players will continue to perform up to level in the coming weeks.
There have been some surprises here and there, but those who have struggled should rebound and prove their worth to fantasy owners. With that said, here are eDraft's best and worst fantasy tight ends through three weeks.
Only one of the top-five fantasy tight ends through three weeks was valued that high at the start of the season. Jimmy Graham is heads and shoulders above every other option at this point in the season. In fact, he's put up nine more fantasy points than his closest competitor. With Rob Gronkowski set to return at some point soon, that could change.
Among the biggest fantasy surprises thus far this season has been Jordan Cameron, who has starred in the Cleveland Browns' passing game through three weeks. He's averaging nearly 100 yards and 1.3 scores per outing. Julius Thomas has been another huge surprise. He's come up big for Peyton Manning, who has the best group of pass catchers in the entire NFL. It remains to be seen whether he can keep that up with that promises to be limited targets moving forward.
Let's take a look at some of the biggest running back busts through three weeks...
Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings: 19th-ranked fantasy tight end, 10 receptions, 97 yards and one touchdown
Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons: 21st-ranked fantasy tight end, 11 receptions, 93 yards and one touchdown
